Guidelines for Editors and Reviewers
Editorial Board
The Editorial Board of the Journal of Science, Technology and Innovation (JSTI) comprises distinguished international experts representing leading academic and research institutions. Members contribute their expertise to strengthen the quality, integrity, and visibility of the journal.
Roles and Responsibilities of Editorial Board Members
Provide subject-matter expertise in their respective research fields.
Evaluate submitted manuscripts in coordination with independent reviewers.
Advise on journal policy, scope, and strategic development.
Recommend themes and conferences for potential Special Issues and serve as guest editors when invited.
Promote the journal through conferences, scientific meetings, and professional networks.
Encourage high-quality manuscript submissions from a global pool of authors.
Guest Editors play an essential role in maintaining the quality and relevance of Special Issues by overseeing the full editorial process from proposal to publication.
The Editorial Board is reviewed every two years to ensure active participation, allowing the inclusion of new members and the rotation of inactive ones.

Duties of Editors
Editors at JSTI are expected to uphold the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity, in accordance with the COPE Core Practices.
Editorial Decision
Editors are responsible for making publication decisions on submitted manuscripts, based on their scholarly merit, originality, and relevance. These decisions may involve consultation with reviewers and other members of the Editorial Board.
Fair Evaluation
Manuscripts are assessed solely on intellectual and scientific merit, without consideration of the authors’ race, gender, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political position.
Confidentiality
Editors and all members of the editorial team must maintain confidentiality. Information about manuscripts under consideration must not be shared with anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, or journal staff as necessary.
Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest
Unpublished materials contained in submitted manuscripts must not be used in an editor’s own research without written permission from the author.
Guidelines for Reviewers
The Journal of Science, Technology and Innovation (JSTI) recognizes the critical importance of a robust, unbiased, and transparent peer-review process. Reviewers are central to safeguarding the journal’s academic integrity and quality standards.
We encourage all reviewers to familiarize themselves with COPE Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers.
Reviewer Eligibility
Potential reviewers should provide accurate personal and professional information reflecting their expertise and maintain up-to-date contact details for effective communication.
Reviewer Responsibilities
Confidentiality
Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents. Discussion or consultation with others is only permissible with prior consent from the Editor. If colleagues assist in the review, their names and affiliations should be mentioned in the Comments to the Editor section.Reviewers should not copy, distribute, or use unpublished content for any purpose, including their own research.
Objectivity and Constructive Feedback
Reviews should be objective, fair, and evidence-based. Criticism should focus on the scientific content, and comments should be supported with clear arguments and, where appropriate, references.Timeliness
Reviewers are expected to respond promptly to review invitations and adhere to the stipulated timelines. If delays arise, the reviewer must inform the Handling Editor immediately to avoid publication delays.Competing Interests
Reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts that may influence impartial judgement, such as:Financial or personal relationships with authors.
Recent collaborations (within 3 years) with any author.
Employment or institutional affiliation with the authors.
In such cases, reviewers should decline the invitation to review.
Reviewers who have assessed a previous version of a manuscript for another journal may still review it for JSTI but should note this in the Comments to the Editor section.
